The N1003 Snatch Block is rated to 4.5 tons working load with a 39,903 pound breaking point, using the standard 3/16" cable that comes with the Lewis Winch.

• The Lewis Winch Snatch Blocks are made to open in two stages to allow you to easily change the anchor position from one anchor point to another, or to a different anchoring device - without having to remove the winch cable from the Snatch Block.
• First remove the swivel pin and swing open the inner and outer sections of the Snatch Block. Load the Lewis Winch cable into the Snatch Block pulley and then close the inner section, which secures the cable in place. Attach your anchor line or Lewis Winch Tree-Saver Belt to the outer swivel section, then close the outer section and replace the lock pin. Now you are ready to start your pull.
• The Lewis Winch itself is rated at 4,000 lbs. straight line or 8,000 lbs. using one Snatch Block.
• This large Snatch Block with it's 9,000 lbs. working load is strong enough to take anything the Lewis Winch can pull.
• The load is distributed between the Snatch Block and the winch, so only a fraction of the total load actually rests on the Snatch Block. This makes sure that you will never exceed the safe working load of this larger Snatch Block when using the Lewis Winch, which is rated at 8000 lbs. maximum pull using one Snatch Block.
• If you are using a chainsaw with less than 5 hp and are planning to pull less than 6,000 lbs., you may want to try using our smaller and lighter N1002 Snatch Block with a 3000 lb. working load (breaking strength 13,668 pounds).
• This larger Snatch Block will take up to 1/2" cable or rope. So it's a handy item to have if you also use a rope winch. Tree planters will find the Snatch Block useful for winching heavy loads of seedlings and gear into remote areas and steep terrain.
